Couldn't find anything searching for best-practices uploading and binding SSL certs in an Azure app hosting environment.  Also didn't find a forum dedicated to Azure hosting so this may not be the right place (newbee, obviously...;-).  Just upgraded the site to 9.0.0.1002 and that went well.  Now just trying to get it secured.

Thanks,

Richard

Self-answering question. While awaiting advice, I kept exploring and found the App Service Certificate within Azure, partnering with GoDaddy, that simplifies certification creation and assignment. The trick was to start a New service in Azure, search for App Service Certificate, then walk through the process. A fair number of hoops to jump through including creating a vault, importing the cert into the vault, verifying the cert (email worked well), then applying the cert to the site. Bottom line: in only 15 minutes I have eliminated the "problem with site certificate" warning and transitioned to an all SSL site.
