Apologies if this post is not appropriate here and if it's confusing. If more details are needed or a link to the actual site to make sense just let me know!

We're having some issues getting links to work on certain pages with our personally developed module on them. Our module is an eCommerce one, and the overall theme of the site has links in the footer and a second navigation bar that do not redirect correctly when on these module-included pages.

Example:
When on the shop page: https://mainurl.com/dnn/shop/Smartphones

The page itself works and loads correctly, however when we try to click a link in the footer or second header, rather than the URL changing to this ( https://mainurl.com/dnn/careers ) as it should, the URL will keep the 'shop' portion of the URL in the link ( https://mainurl.com/dnn/shop/careers ) and stay on the same page or prompt an error.

I personally didn't help develop the module, only design how it looks, so I don't know the inner workings for that, sadly. But we're thinking it has something to do with the module itself not allowing the URL to remove that 'shop' portion of it. We've even tried hard-coding the full link in the footer and second header to work around this, but it results in the same as before. So now we're just unsure how to go about getting this to work.
