Hey everyone!  Please forgive my ignorance - this is my first post on the DNN forums.

We are currently developing a website for recovering addicts (It's a class project).  Part of what we are doing is using the forums module as well as a chat module (CuteChat - we are just using the evaluation for the time being).  However, in doing this we have run across a small problem - we need a way to ban users without having them log out, then attempt to log back in.

I guess when I say ban, I should be a bit more specific.  A user will automatically be assigned the roles of ChatUser and ForumUser when they register.  If a user abuses the chat, they will be 'banned' from the chat - meaning they should not be able to access the chat page (or module on that page).  The problem that we have run into is that DNN only refreshes the user roles when a user logs in.  We tried using the Wittysoft RoleRefresh module, but it doesn't seem to work with DNN 4.3.2 (we have contacted Wittysoft and are seeing if they are working on a fix, but untill then...)

Does anyone here have an idea on how we can pull this off?
