At some point during one of the many upgrades DNN released the HTML Pro module became a terrible thing to use.

I believe I am using the CKEditor to edit the module and there were several things that seemed to get removed. All these changes made editing in the HTML Pro module very difficult.

- One change was that when viewing the Source code the HTML tags were no longer colour coded and didn't match up any more. What I mean by match up is that when you selected the opening tag the closing tag would highlight.

-Another huge change I noticed was in the Advanced Editor. If you have an accordion inserted on the page and the accordion is collapsed you can't edit the content without either going into the source code, or going back to the classic editor and expanding it.

-Another big annoyance is in the Advanced Editor when going back and forth from the Source code the HTML module always snaps back to the top. Before if you highlighted text in the Editor and click the Source button you would go to that location in the Source code.

- Another big change was that the source code editor no longer had a scroll bar at the bottom and didn't word wrap. Means you can't scroll to end of a line you have to use the right arrow on the keyboard.

Anyone know how to fix these issues. These are the main ones I run into all the time. Probably more.

Alan,

it would be a good idea to report your issues in the tracker (https://support.dnnsoftware.com - one ticket for each) if you don't find them there. Otherwise you could leave a comment on the existing ticket and/or see if someone has already posted a workaround.

Happy DNNing!
Michael
