I'm new to DNN but have used many other CMS tools from WordPress to Joomla.  I'm looking for a module/extension that allows file upload.  Or, is this a standard feature set and standard part of DNN?

I found this article that seemed to suggest something.  However, when I go to the GitHub Repo or the link there is little to any information defining what a "Documents module" does exactly?-->

I would start by looking at the source code for an existing module that does something similar, like the Documents module.

There's a URL Control in DotNetNuke that allows for file uploads

Thanks for your help in advance.

Hi Michael,

I'm not sure I completely understand your question. Are you looking for a tool to all you to upload and manage documents or are you looking for something to allow site visitors to upload and send documents to you?

If your looking for a good document management tool that allows for version control and organization of documents I would suggest you check out DMX in the DNN store.

Michael,

welcome to the DNN community!

If you just need a tool to upload files to a specific folder, there is some old (but still working) Flash stuff by Oliver Hine: http://www.oliverhine.com/DotNetNuke/...

Happy DNNing!
Michael

if you are on DNN < version 9.1.0, you might place the Digital Asset Management module on any page.
