Dear DotNetNuke Forum Managers --

This is a notification of an error I just saw on the DotNetNuke Forums.

FYI, I was just trying to edit a recent post of mine.

I clicked "edit" and then swtiched to "Rich Text Editor", then clicked the "add link" control.

Then the following error message appeared...

www.dnnsoftware.com says: Web.config registration is missing! The Tlerik dialogs require a HttpHandler registraiton in the web.config file. Please, use the control's Smart Tag to add the handler automatically, or see the help for more information: Controls > RadEditor > Dialogs > Introduction.

...and so I just thought you would want to know.

HTH.

Thanks.

Which DNN product and version are you using? Did you install the latest Telerik security patch or not? THese would help in identifying this issue.

[Update] Sorry, I missed it is dnnsoftware.com site. Seems there is some configuration for Telerik needed to be done. Site admin will look into this soon.

Which product and version you ask? Well, I was using THESE forums, where I am posting now. Anyway, it is somewhat moot. I heard back from the nice DNN folks and they said they had to disable parts (or all?) of the rich text editor due to some security or admin concern or something like that. Anyway, the short story is that they knew about it already and they are working on it. I was just posting it as FYI to the folks in charge. Plus, I like the Basic Text Box entry form better anyway, most of the time. Thanks. -- Mark Kamoski

Mark,
please be aware that this site is using a Forums module, which has been sunsetted a couple of years ago and gets minimal attention to kept running on this site.
George will notify the admins to fix or work around the issue, you encountered, thank you for reporting it.

Cheers from Germany,
