Hi,

Today is very important for the sites to have SSL, and in a near future it will be critical: https://www.searchenginejournal.com/google-sets-https-deadline/236225/

I've several multi-portal DNN instalation where each site has your own domain. I tried to install SSL in all sites of one instalation, my server provider said it is instaled to the domain of the main site, and the other sub portals could used. But the browser shows many warnings in the sub-portals because are using a SSL sign to other domain.

So now i've only have SSL in the portal 0, so i don't get securiy warnings in all other portals. How can this be solved? Someone had the same issue?

Thank you. Best Regards

you need a dedicated IP address bound to each domain, to make sure, the traffic is properly routed.
Which DNN version are you running?

It's probably your cert. If you inspect it you will find it is a SAN cert but it only has one primary domain. If these are all the domains you expect to be using SSL then the cert is fine... Otherwise the host will need to request a new cert with the other domains.

DNS Name=cdn.searchenginejournal.com
DNS Name=searchenginejournal.com
DNS Name=www.searchenginejournal.com

Hi,

So the main domain on my hosting service if the domain for the root portal, then i've other child portals with different domains. That child portals in the hosting service plesk are domain alias of the main domain.

My hosting support team says that can only install SSL in a main domain and not in the domain alias. They tried to apply the same SSL certificate for all sites and the browsers show a security warning because the SSL was signed for only one domain.

I belive I can't have a dedicated IP of each domain alias, right?

Someone else had ths issue?
