Hello,

It's possible I'm being silly here. Using DNN 9.1.1. Still learning how everything hangs together.

I'm using the Module Creator module - I just want to make something super simple - effectively just a module which puts a fixed bit of HTML on the page.

I make the module, and it all works fine, but then I want to use it in another test install of DNN. So I hit "Create Package" and get "A critical error has occurred. Please check the Event Viewer for further details."

Clicking on that reveals:

AbsoluteURL:/Default.aspx
DefaultDataProvider:DotNetNuke.Data.SqlDataProvider, DotNetNuke
ExceptionGUID:8b2769c7-ae00-4df0-a1e5-77161e184c3c

Obviously I went and looked in the Windows Event Viewer :) It took me a while to realise I actually wanted the DNN Admin Logs. I found this:

InnerMessage:Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
InnerStackTrace:
at Dnn.Module.ModuleCreator.ViewSource.OnPackageClick(Object sender, EventArgs e) at System.Web.UI.WebControls.LinkButton.OnClick(EventArgs e) at System.Web.UI.WebControls.LinkButton.RaisePostBackEvent(String eventArgument) at System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessRequestMain(Boolean includeStagesBeforeAsyncPoint, Boolean includeStagesAfterAsyncPoint)

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Olly.

I also had issues with the Create Package in 9.1.1, I _think_ it was fixed in 9.2.0 but if not, please report it at https://github.com/dnnsoftware/Dnn.Pl...

If memory serves me any good, the last time I wanted to do this (for a skin) the manifest was generated but the zip was not created, I just zipped the folder with the manifest and it worked... Or maybe I copied the manifest text in the steps and saved that in a .dnn file then zipped the contents, something along those lines...
