Hi,

I am looking into the two Vulnerabilities  2017-08 and Vulnerability - 2018-13 and am trying to understand do they effect my site.

2017-8 has a mitigating factor of...

A malicious user must know the specifics of this cookie and how to decode it. Then they must submit crafted cookie to target this vulnerability. Only one specific cookie was found to be vulnerable. This cookie is rarely used.

So does that mean it will effect our site or not?  How do I check if it is being used?

2018-13 has a mitigating factor of...

A DNN installation must be configured in a specific manner and the malicious user would need specific knowledge to leverage the issue.

What configuration does DNN need to be in for this to be an issue?

Can anyone help poit me in the right direction on this please, any thoughts would be appreciated

Neil.

Neil,

Sadly, to maintain the security of existing installations we are unable to release more specific information regarding any resolved security issues, as further disclosure could have negative impacts. This is pursuant to the published security policy.

It is recommended to upgrade as soon as practical.
