Where are the announcements about new versions and what bug fixes and new functonality these new releases have ?  How about a forum topic like that and lock it after the announcement ?

Not individual modules but of entire new releases like 3.3.3. 

Also, it would be nice if there were a central place for new module releases as well instead of going hunting for them.

The official announcments have not been sent out yet.

In the meantime there are a few blogs about the new release, you can check them out over in the bolgging area.

I wonder if sponsor ads on the home page being placed more prominently than the wecome message is really appropriate?  It might lead a noobie to think DNN is more of a commercial endevour than it really is...

I also wonder why the home page announces the months old Benefactors program but not the most current release?  Again gives a wrong first impression of priorities.

Other than to confirm what version the mothership is dogfooding....I find the home page semi-useless.  I'd do better to bookmark/shortcut the New Room page--or would I?  No formal announcement of the release?!?!?!?  I'd have to dig through the forums--or even go outside to the SourceForge listings to get this pivotal info?!?!?

(But to the module team members, great improvement on the frequency and content of the blogging!  Many thanks to all...)
