Locked Out - Installing DNN Platform

Locked Out

I attempted to change my password on DNN 4.3.3.

It yelled, said it wasn't long enough. So I went in to the web.config and changed minimum characters from 7 to 6. I uploaded the web.config file. I attempted to login using host / dnnhost in lowercase.

I get: Login Failed, remember that Passwords are case sensitive

I would if I wasn't now locked out of my host account.

Is there a way to reset the host password? I click forgot password, enter host in the username box, and then get "There was an error retrieving your password. No password was sent."

you need database access to reset your host password.

create a new account and remember the passwort
enter the database, table aspnet_membership
copy encrypted password and password_salt values from new user to host user record.
log in with new password.
