Why is it that I have to have an event instance in Calender view to use this module?  Most of my customers don't want to use the calender view at all. They want to put their events in a simple list, some want to use the the "master" feautre (witht the lists), but almost none want to display the events in the calender view.  Is there a workarond so my customers don't have to create two modules everytime they want to use events?

I think the main reason that people don't want to use the calender view is that it is very easy to miss out on events since you only see events for the displayed month.
