I have a nasty problem I need help with. When upgrading I always duplicate my current installation in a new location, create a new db, restore the old db over the new db and then upgrade. It makes things smooth becasue you always have the original to fall back on should something go wrong. Since my lates upgrade all of the files in my repository are pointing to the old file locations.

This is going to cause me to re-upload all files resulting in a giant mess. It wouldnt be so bad if I could just pick the files from the server, but having to upload them all will be a gigantic pain.

I also see now that I can't even upload a file becasue I can't enter my name in the form.

3.01.10 on 4.3.3

The problem with the name was becasue I was logged in as host. Adjusting the host account under the profile and adding a first and last name took care of that issue. The file paths are still a big problem.

Even a bigger problem is that the error message gives the visitor the complete file path right down to the drive.

Just to make sure I haven't confused anything. Is the path set in the Settings for the Repository on the new site pointing to the new location or is it still pointing to the original location of the files?

Yes Mike, you are correct, the directory is still pointing to the old location. I realize it's just a simple change, but when an installation has 50+ child sites with several repositories each this makes for a big job, and a job that needs to be done EVERY upgrade.
