I just downloaded 4.3.3. Just playing around with it.

1. How can I configure email as username? similarly when the user forgets his password, I want him to enter his email address! How can I do this ?

2. Where is anti-spam feature for preventing automated form posts? This is accomplished by creating an image with a word and asking the user to enter the word in the form!! How can i do this? Most of the blogs do this for comments to prevent spam. Is there any DNN anti-spam module?

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks - Indo.

1a, you can't the membership system expects username/password/email as minimum data
1b, dueto how 1a is implemented, in particular, multiple users can sign up with the same email adress, this is not possible

2, the Captcha support is included sindce 4.3.x, I expect the modules to start using this anti spam system soon (err, I mean hopefully this year)

1. I put in a ticket in the dnn support system about using email address to retrieve passwords. Most people may not know the username. I haven't really seen any public tickets be considered though. I think you need to be a core member.
