Hi,

We are getting the same error when upgrading from 4.0 to 4.3. We have checked and double checked the database and the correct portal alias does exist in the database.

When upgrading, the install process executed without error then browsing to the site returned the error.

We are using Windows Server 2003 and SQL Server 2005.

Has anyone else had similar problems or, more importantly, has somebody been able to rectify the issue?

Many thanks in advance,

john.

** Problem Resolved **

An oft neglected step in the upgrade process is to ensure that your object qualifier, should one be specified, is copied into the new web.config file. Simple really, but had us going for some time...

Regards,

John.
