When I get an email about a new post and want to reply, I use the link in the upper left corner. Occasionally, it leads to the forums and I get redirected to the "page denied" function, stating, that I do not have access rights or am not logged it (I am using auto-login for dotnetnuke.com). This even happens, when I am in the forums in another tab of my browser (IE based). Does not work on 2. or 3. attempt either.

Example Link: http://www.dotnetnuke.com/DotNetNukeProjects/CoreLocalization/tabid/839/ctl/PostModerate/mid/2108/forumid/77/threadid/5609/scope/posts/Default.aspx

Any clue?

Sebastian,

The only time I have problems with this depends on the original posters url and what i use.  I always have the www. in front, while others dont' use it.  Whatever the poster users is what will end up in the email.  Can this be the problem?

Chris,

I meant the link to the post in the forum, not to the poster. It directs to the forums page on dotnetnuke.com, but sometimes I get an "access denied", even with your reply and a post from vicenc. Can it be a security problem, as you have access to hidden core forums? just guessing.

Sebastian

The problem seesm to be that the link which was send redirect to the moderate page of a fourm, and users without moderator status will get the access denied message (what is OK),

The link shoulb be redirect to the post instead of the moderator area.
