Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows of a good auction module for DNN 4? I know there is one on SnowCovered: DNNAuction , but was wondering if there are any other modules out there (maybe a little less than $450), or if there is another way to implement auctions. Thanks!

I am working on a project with an auction module which has been specifically built by Catalook as an add in, but not sure if it's going to be in the build.  The screens I have received so far have been very promising.  I would have to wait until I test it and understand it more, and find out if it's going to be a build in Catalook before commenting further.

I also know of another developer who has been writing one, and it's been complex to work with the tax laws in his country.  I am not sure if that will be a commercial product or a solution they offer their clients (eg. not off the shelf to buy)

That's about it I'm afraid.

Nina-

Could you update this post later on with any updates you have on the Catalook ad-on for the auction module. That would be great. Thanks again!

I have spoken with Susanne last night - since alot of us are experiencing some bad times with this build and the DLL's being out synch.

The Auction module will be based along this type of selling - http://uk.letsbuyit.com/  not ebay but the next version will be.

Because of the changes with the new dnn 4.3.3, I know she's running a bit behind because of the amount of support questions which I feel are totally out of the control of a developer - eg.. doing a new build against an older version of dnn which was accidently released has caused a bit of strain.

I have got some screen shots that have been sent.. I can post them here, but I'm just as happy to wait to get a version next week.  If you look at the latest build, you'll see some subtle changes and additions - one being the communicator, and one being the feedback layout for buyers to leave comments, like a rating system instead of a review option which is currently there.

For me, I've seen this product grow over the last 2.5 years and I feel it's one of the biggest third party products around, and the amount of support, and albeit a bit of an ugly duckling, does and can produce some fantastics looking sites.

I expect we'll get something next week. So in the scale of things that's  not far now is it?
