I have been trying for the last few days to create a custom theme for the forum module.  I am following the documentation by first copying one of the standard themes then putting all the files into a folder with the name of the theme that I would like to have.  I then rename the css file to that same name.

[Folder]

....\DNN\DesktopModules\Forum\Themes\Barons

[CSS]

....\DNN\DesktopModules\Forum\Themes\Barons\Barons.css

Initially if I do not make any changes to the files at all I can select the theme from the drop down listing and it will display properly.  My problem comes when I go to change something in the CSS file.  If I so much as change the color of something by just one character the entire theme stops working and the forum is displayed without any theme applied.  I have alternativly tried making the change to the CSS file before I apply the theme and when it applies there is no theme displayed.  This seems to be happening on both IE and Firefox.

Does anyone have any insight for me?

Mabuti, I just did a custom theme for 3.20.08 this week actually. It sounds to me that your problem may be a permissions one when overwriting and it can't find the file for some reason. There is no reason unless you break the top css style that nothing will be applied otherwise. Please be careful you are not cut/paste (Move) from desktop to your local webhost, instead to copy/paste. The reason is the way MS handles NTFS permissions.
