I am installing version 3.3.3 on my development machine, with the database on a remote server,

and this is the 2nd time it has got this far and then thrown a wobbly, any ideas ?

remove the largest modules like blog, forums, repository and store from the /install/modules folder and install them separately afterwards.

I also get the same error installing 4.3. I've adjusted all the config as recommended - like giving FULL CONTROL permissions to ASPNET and NETWORK SERVICE accounts. Only difference is that I make a connection to the SQL Express database using a connection string. I get this THREAD ABORTED error just after it installs the last module. I can fudge a successful install by pointing to a new database and running the install again - but get a similar error when I run the portal.

Any ideas?
