Panes

My company has just downloaded version 4.0.3 of dotnetnuke and I have a question about the panes (contentpane, leftpane, rightpane, toppane etc).  Is there an easy way of either deleting panes you're not using or resize the panes?  I'm not a programmer, just a basic user and need to know if there is an easy way to do this without changing any code.

panes are defined by the skin, according to their realization, they might be hidden if usused for all users without edit permission for this page.

to remove panes permanently, you need to edit the skin, please refer to the skinning guide included in the DotNetNuke documentation pack.

Thanks Sebastian.  I've just downloaded the skinning document and am reviewing.

One further question then, can you have different skins for different pages?

sure you can have different skins on different pages, you just need to specify the skin (and eventually default container) in page settings.
