I am using the discussions module to start a forum for our company's clients. The problem that I have is that when I set the permissions to just"view" module, users cant add a new thread or reply. If I set the permission to "view, and edit", then they have full access to the module, and can manipulate it any which way. Can someone please tell me how to fix that issue, or if there is a module I can buy that would overcome that issue?

use the core forums module (this forum, available for separate download from the projects download page at www.dotnetnuke.com) or - a smaller solution - DNNBB from www.dnnbb.net.
