The fckeditor.net is just a wrapper for the editor into asp.net. There is no need to use it any more because the provider does the same.

If you want to upgrade the editor, just drop the new editor into the corresponding folder and it will work without problems.

Note: The new release will include 2.3.1

Hmmm this is weird. I tried to upgrade to 2.3.1 by following ur way but I still see the old version. And most imptly, I can't get the "file browser and quick upload" feature to work. Did I miss out something? Like adding some path in the web.config?

Maybe you copied the files to a different folder. B.T.W, you can use the new release now. 1.0.6
