Hi,
We are trying to get a new, much more stable/feature rich version out the door. We had a developer go MIA so as soon as we get their code checked in we will test and release.
I have asked this several times without a response, maybe you are subscribing to this thread and will get this, does the above comment indicate the code is in your possession and all that must be done is to check this code in, or does it mean that you do not have the code and cannot track down the rogue developer?
If you can't track down the rogue developer, what contribution was it that was made that cannot be replicated by someone in the community? Lets get this project going again, I really don't want to have to rewrite the entire damn thing myself (again).
All you guys involved in this project: either put your time where your promises have already been made or resign so that development can continue. Be specific in your responses and don't over-commit. Robert, as the project manager, (which I realize you have many other obligations) it would be great if you could dole out work such that no one developer can put a strangle-hold on development like the rogue developer you described in your post.
What can be done to get development going again?
