I have a dotnetnuke website in which I have installed a repositary. I now find I cant upload any file larger than about 500k , it is not only in the repository I am having the problem but also the file manager. Any thoughts on how I can fix this?

I thought it may have been timing out because my upload speed was 64k so I have upgraded to 128k still no luck just comes back with an error.

Cheers

johno,

I'm not positive that my answers will solve your particular problem, but they won't hurt either.

Did your portal run out of allotted disk space?  While logged in as Host, under the Admin menu>Site Settings>Advanced Settings>Host Settings>Disk Space, change that number (it defaults to 0) to whatever you need it to be. You can also go thru Host>Portals and edit individual portals.

The other setting is in your web.config.  Change the number hilighted below (mine is 8192=8Mb).

<!-- allow large file uploads -->
    <httpRuntime useFullyQualifiedRedirectUrl="true" maxRequestLength="8192" executionTimeout="180" />

Hope it helps.

Thanks for that I have set the portal to 500mb thats the maximum it would let me do (I have 50gb of space)

as for the web.config file I can't get acces to it as the DNN is a value application on my site and the host will not give access to it. Guess you have to pay more for that..

I still have the upload problem.

Without access to the web.config you will be unable to fix this problem.  Your hosting provider may be intentionally limiting the file size to prohibit people from uploading pirated music or software.
