HI guys

Does anyone know how to use favicon with dnn3?

I noticed this on the default.aspx: <asp:placeholder id="FAVICON" runat="server"></asp:placeholder>

But can't find any place to edit the favicon in the hostqadmin areas.

Also, I have many portals on the same install. How do I use different favicons on each portal?

Thanx

Eden

It's actually very simple; easier than you're thinking.  It's not necessary to edit anything.  Simply place the favicon.ico file into your portal root, and it will automatically become the favicon for the portal.  If you don't want an installation-wide favicon, simply delete the favicon files from the DNN root.

I am running 4.3 and I don't have that <asp:placeholder id="FAVICON" runat="server"></asp:placeholder> in my default.aspx.  I uploaded my favicon.ico file to the root and added that line to my default.aspx page but I don't see my favicon.

first, why don't I have that line in my aspx?  second, what else has to be edited for my favicon to show up.  Please let me know.

Thanks,

Dave
