Hi all,

i am installing DNN 3.3.4 package on IIS6. win2003. and the server is on another network that i am accessing it through Remote Access and i am using the server External IP address in FTPing my files and in Remote Accessing the server. and also to browse some old websites that already installed on that server.

i did upload the files and did configure the permissions and the installation went fine and completed succefuly. and it end me with the url of the site. but i couldn't browse the site using the external ip (which is the one that i used in the installation steps). i logged to the sql server and i found that the Portal ALias contains the internal IP address not the external one.. so i updated the value of the portal alias with the external ip instead of the internal one. but that didn't solve my problem also.

i tried the installation many times and it keep detecting the internal ip address instead of the external one, even the installation process are made using the external ip as i am browsing the server from my office Out of the server network.

any ideas ????
