I'm trying a new DNN 4.3.4 install using SQL Server 2000. It does not install. I get web.config error, then clicking refresh, I get this error message:

Unauthorized Access Error

Error Details

File E:\inetpub\vhosts\domain.com\httpdocs\Portals\_default\\Logs\LogFailures.xml.resources
Error   Access to the path 'E:\inetpub\vhosts\domain.com\httpdocs\Portals\_default\Logs\LogFailures.xml.resources' is denied. The Windows User Account listed below must have Read/Write Privileges to this path.

On my ISP, the thge site usses the httpdocs folder.

The _default\Logs folder does not contain the LogFailures.xml.resources file, so naturally the system cannot find it. Anyone know what I can do to overcome this?

I have tried deleting the database and all httpdocs files and reloading and re-starting the Install, but I get the same error every time.

Any other suggestions?

I remember this recent thread about httpdocs folders; I'm not certain it'll help you but it's probably worth a look:

Thanks Shane, I'll give that a try, although I haven't had any similar problems with the several DNN 3.3 installs I did on this same ISP. I'm also trying 4.3.4, so maybe I'll go back to 4.3.3
