Hi

I was able to purchase items and have the payment appear in PayPal.

However, there are a bugs I noticed or haven't figured out yet.

  • The shipping/billing address entered in the check out page does not get sent to PayPal. Only the first line of the address appears in the Custom field of PayPal.
    • (ie) shipping/billing address is
      • 65 Gateway Ave
        Philadelphia, PA. 19147
      • PayPal would say:
        Shipping Address: No Address Provided
        Custom:
        65 Gateway Ave
    • PayPal doesn't describe each item and its quantity. Only the entire order.
So if I want to purchase 2 tickets for a festival date and 1 DVD. Paypal only shows the total order and 1 quantity.

How do I fix this?
Thanks.

To address your second question - that's just the way PayPal is set up (or, rather, that's the option Store Module is interfaced with - check out PayPal documentation on their site). Since Store Module uses it's own shopping cart (which provides the highest level of control for a developer), it can only pass the order's total and some description (thus the Shopping Cart name property in Store Administration). It really utilizes a Buy Now button option.

If you want a detailed PayPal process, you'll have to either use their shopping cart or interface with a new web payments option they've introduced recently. Both would require some programming and changes to core module.

IMHO, it would be by far simpler to sign up with Authorize.net

I ended up purchasing Catalook Store Module from snowcovered. Great product! And Susanne's support is wonderful. It fullfilled all my needs and more! The documentation is overwhelming but you can do a text search for most of your questions and get to the point. I HIGHLY recommend reading the installation part since that is the most tricky.
