Hi All:

I am new to DotNetNuke. I have downloaded the DotNetNuke pretty recently. I am using DotNetNuke 4.3.4. I followed the tutorial to create custom module and successfully completed the tutorial. Then I start writing my own custom module.

The functionality of my module is getting some data from SQL Server 2005 and displaying them in a GridView. Also I have few textbox from where users enter new record to the database. These data are not related with DotNetNuke data. I added those tables in the DotNetNuke database as Definition Table. I have a submit button in the form that invoke record insert in the database from DNN Module

It is working fine as I login to the DotNetNuke portal as Host or Admin. However, I created some user who are not admin or host type. When I logged in Portal using some other user than Admin or host, my page doesn't work. I can see it. However, my button event doesn't response. The gridview functionality doesn't work.

I spent some of my time to investigate the reason. However, looks like I am missing some pieces of the code which prevent regular users to do anything.

Can anyone point me to the right direction that allows user other admin group to perform button click, gridview edit function?

Thanks in Advance.

Sorry... I already figure it out. I have to just give edit permission to all users. Then any body can edit my custom module. However, I am just curious, anybody knows how to make the Add Content button on the Container of the module disappear.

I don't want including admin or host to modify or add content to my module. It will be fixed content module. I hope somebody has the answer. Thanks in advance.
