I am using DNN 3.2 on a Windows 2000 Server box.

I am trying to assign a domain name to a child portal that i previously created.

I am able to view my site over the internet using www.mydomain.com/mysite but I cannot access it using mysite.mydomain.com. I get a 'cannot display webpage' error when I try.

I have done the following:
- Registered the subdomain and added a DNS entry on our DNS server
- Added a unique IP address to the web server
- Set up an IIS entry for my portal that references the new IP address
- When I right click and select browse from IIS my portal comes up in the browser
- I can succesfully ping the new IP address and mysite.mydomain.com over the internet (from another machine)
- If I open a browser on the webserver and type mysite.mydomain.com I can view my portal (but not from another computer)
- I set up the alias on my portal to include mysite.mydomain.com. I also have localhost/dotnetnuke/mysite and www.mydomain.com/dotnetnuke entries.

Any suggestions?

Thanks
