You need to be very specific about what you want to do. Gallery modules are primarly useful for managing large numbers of images. They are not useful for displaying a small number in any other context.
If your site is a brochure site for you and your business, focus on your skin design first and once you have that, you can add your representative images using the sraight text/html module. You can then lay the page out properly and add relevant text. A gallery module would really do little for anyone's professional image.
Use a gallery for community or family sites where people will browse large numbers of images. Consider whether you want them to be commented on and rated and wether you want latest or highest rated additions to be displayed in a dashboard module on the homepage. Consider whther you want to allow other users to create their own galleries and upload images.
If your site is specifically built around image galleries, consider a better and more dedicated tool such as Coppermine Photo gallery or any of the other php image library and gallery tools around. There are also tons of very slick pre-built Flash galleries that are not integrated with DNN but can still be configured with your photos and placed on a page, possibly as an intro.
There are quite a few gallery modules for DNN, but none of them are all that great and I can't really recommend any. Scott's Simple Gallery is still waiting for templating, and EXIF/ITPC, and comments and ratings and is probably the one most likely to end up with everything inside one tidy and usable module. I definitely recommend getting his subscription for all modules including the gallery. He's at Ventrian.com - the place that sells flying lions.
Let us know what you end up with,
