Thats a great idea, I'll see if I can get it in the next release. Even if I don't I'll put it on the list for the one after that . I'm also going to work on a system for using an XSLT Transform for people who are more familiar with that.

I'm adding a whole new framework for the next release that allows for pluggable "Renderers" that take the data and render it in different way (so far: Grid, Chart, and hopefully: HTML Template, XSLT Transform) or even display totally different reports (so far: Microsoft ReportViewer, in the future we could have ones for Crystal Reports, or other reporting components)

Tell me about how you might do the XSLT transform that sounds like it might be more effecient than a bunch of text parsing

As I mentioned above, the Reports module produces a DataTable from the results of the query. The DataTable can easily be converted to Xml (though I am not positive of the format) which can be transformed using the XSLT Transformation.

I don't know if it would be much more efficient, but its a different system for those that need more features or are more comfortable with XSLT. For example, in the XSLT Transform one could show data from multiple rows, but without using a grid. In the HTML Template, one can only show data from one row at a time (I might try to provide the option to include a "navigator" that lets the user who is viewing the report switch between records using Back, Next, and Jump to Record number buttons).
