I have a simple 2 column template.  In the left column I have added two "HouseMenu" module instances.

Working on the home page I add the first menu no problem, configure it, and then tick "Display on All Pages".  Hey presto, menu is displayed through entire site.

Still on the home page I add my second HouseMenu instance, specifying to add it to the bottom of the left-hand column.  This works fine and I again configure it as needed.

I then go to tick the "Display on all pages" checkbox for the second menu but on doing so find that on every page other than the home page the second menu is displayed above my first menu.

I'm guessing this isn't just specific to the HouseMenu module but any module.

Is there any way I can maintain the display order as it is on the homepage?

When I design sites I don't put in lots of pages, I create the master pages first - eg. the ones I think are going to sort of carrying the style and layout I like or need.  I then use them with the *copy* function when adding pages.

However, I don't like using *display on all pages* becuase if a site has multiple panes, it drops it into the content pane and I have to delete it, so if I have to repeat things, I prefer to repeat them being added, rather than having to delete what I don't want.

So in hindsight - spend the time on some master pages which you keep hidden and then use them to copy / reference new pages.

Then the modules will be placed as you want. .. also with copying modules you can specify where you want them placed using the *add exsting module* function too.
