Hi,

I realize this is not the official place for this kind of support request but since more dnn users congregate here, I figured I'd give it a try.

I use the Ultra Photo Gallery. One of the key features of this tool is the ftp upload and on the fly compression of zip files with images since any kind of camera will pump out hundreds of hires images these days.

Even though a single image upload works, uploading a zip file doesn't. The zip file gets uploaded, the contents are being unzipped on the server, but the compression of the images doesn't occur. Consequently, the images are also not visible in the tool.

Does anybody have any ideas on this one?

Thanks,

Marc

I should note that if I upload a file <3MB containing 1 or 2 images, it works.

I have set my upload limit in the web config to 100MB BTW.

<add key="upload.maxsize" value="100MB" />

<httpRuntime executionTimeout="3000" useFullyQualifiedRedirectUrl="true" maxRequestLength="100000" requestLengthDiskThreshold="100000" />

Cheers,

Marc

I am not sure about the compression of the images bit, but I bulk upload all of my images via FTP and resynch and they display ok?

I would also ask this on the UPG Forum for the developer to answer.

Looks like I may have solved it.

First web.config change

<httpRuntime executionTimeout="3000" useFullyQualifiedRedirectUrl="true" maxRequestLength="100000" requestLengthDiskThreshold="8192" />

I had set requestLengthDiskThreshold to 100MB as well. Not smart.

Second, if the zip-file contains a non-image file. For example, our friendly Windows thumbnail file. The upload process fails. I assume the compression process tries to compress the thumbnail file, throws an error and fails.

Actually, this means MAC users trying to upload a zip will always fail. Because the Mac file system adds these hidden files. I hope we'll see a fix soon. Otherwise, it's a great tool.
