  • 4.0.3 on internal and I thought I would catch some updates with 4.3.4 big mistake but I don't think I can back track now.
  • same modules
  • I'm using no special modules just standard

I have weird problems accuring now. I use the [DROPDOWNACTIONS] in my containers which work and display fine on my internal server but on the live site I actually have the dropdown dialog (although empty) displaying.

Just to mention display container in page settings and the 'allow print' are checked. If I take off the display container I don't get the printing option.

Sorry to continue problems.

  • When I scroll anywhere on the page the dropdownmenu scrolls the source code of the contentpane
  • when you press printer friendly there's a large blink - the printer friendly page is produced and the original page seems to loose all formatting. Should I use this feature as it's not very nice to see font sizes going crazy.

I hope there's no more....

Due to lack of responses here at support I decided to do yet another clean installation going back to 4.0.3 as mayb the new version was causing the problem. And maybe there's an incompatibility inusing the wizard on different versions for my other problems.

So here I am clean site but only 5 modules where are the others...... I'm really begining to think dotnetnuke route was a bad one. I'm on my own here!

I'm having grave doubts on dotnetnukes capabilities and if it's a stable source.

To repeat I have an internal site that works great. All I want to do is get the details on the internal site up to the live server.

I've tried placing the template files that I created with edits to the dotnetnuke.config files in the right place before doing a fresh installation but the site stalls on installation.

I've tried creating a fresh site and then uploading the template files using the wizars and again the site stalls on installation.

I've tried changing the config files to point to a different database on a clean installation and nothing happens.

So today I started early to create and copy the content page by page and it''s been fine until I got a runtime error  saying that customErrors mode="RemoteOnly' should be set. This is set. The frightening thing is when I've been to the dotnetnuke site so look for help I've seen the same server error so is this going to happen on my live site. Rather just let me know I don't have a very supportive boss and maybe I should have looked at another solution for the website.

Could someone please tell me what I can do to go through steps on what to check on each site as I really don't understand why I'm having so much difficulty in getting my site up.

Maybe using a free source program was not a good idea as I could really do with some support or guidence here.

Surely there are other people that have the same problems - cause I've just been going from one fault to another.

To put it simply I need help!
