Hi, I am a new user of DNN and currently having problem that once I make some pages on my community now how can I Access that community on another computer within the same local network.

as far as I understand, you are creating your web on your local pc using e.g. "localhost/myweb" as address. to address the web from other pcs, you need to add your pc name as portal alias (log in as host, in host menu choose portals and look at the bottom of the details page, click add, enter e.g. "mypc/myweb").

Hi, I tried that way the one you have told me but its still not working. DotNetNuke works with localhost but not with 127.0.0.1 or with host name. Does DotNetNuke have to be installed as a website or a virtual directory (off to defualt website).

you can install both as web site or virtual directory. please give more details, if the issue persists.

I have a slightly different problem. I can access my portal from different PC using the portal alias, but when I logged in from the remote PC, I couldn't see all the pages that are restricted to Registered Users only. Any help will be much appreciated.
