Just a quick test. I have not investigated why, Installed the installation PA. (No source)

DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at DotNetNuke.Modules.Forum.Settings.BindWhatsNewTemplate() --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

I have never come across this in many hours of testing but..

Please check to see if you have four xml files in the desktopmodules\forum\resources folder.

I get this configuration error on an upgrade:

DefaultDataProvider: DotNetNuke.Data.SqlDataProvider, DotNetNuke.SqlDataProvider
InnerException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
Message: DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at DotNetNuke.Modules.Forum.Settings.BindThemes() --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

Any thoughts...
