Uh . . isn't AVCalendar uh . . openSource under GNU ?

Doesn't that mean . .*ClearningThroat* . .all other items produced from it should be open sourced as well ?

Correct me if I am wrong, but doesn't the IntelliCalendar use AVCalendar (DNN4 core calendar) as it's code base ?

Anyone know how that works ?

I believe it's done using the BSD licence - where the code doesn't have to be released - I think that would have been covered when Alan donated the calender to the core.. and I am sure that it wouldn't have been allowwd into the core.  I could be wrong, but I would think the board of directors would check into that since I have heard other projects rejected due to having incorrect licensing.

Well, it doesn't really matter.  It's just that the way the IntelliCalendar is streamlined.  From a usability standpoint it's a bit easier to use.

As coders, we often find ourselves adding functionality and saying "it would be cool if it could do this".  I just find the AVCalendar a bit too complex although then later one I find myself saying "this sucks because it can't do <insert functionality>"

I like that you can easily go from month, week and day views easily and intuitively.

I like their tool tip.

I like the master/detail on the calendar list (one less click to get to the description and more details).

I would like to see the ability to have a small calendar.  I'd like to see a setting implimentation like the way the Event List settings are implimented in the module settings.  Perhaps a check box for "Enable Small Calendar".  For example: http://www.trumba.com/calendars/kims_calendar8?date=20060723&template=day on the top left side.

I also would like to pull in the date value into the month table cell.

Anyone interested on working on this ?
