Hey

I've installed DotNetNuke Starter Kit in vwd and are trying to create a new module to my DotNetNuke website. As far as I know DotNetNuke is made in vb.net. But when I created the module I choose C# (because I prefer it, and because it was available in the drop down box) as programming language - so when developing this module I could write code in C#

When I build my website, I get this error:

Error 102 Operator '&' cannot be applied to operands of type 'string' and 'string' c:\inetpub\wwwroot\NukeSite\DesktopModules\AskUs\ViewAskUs.ascx.cs 136

I haven't done any changes to code

Any ideas what can cause this?

Can it be because I use C# as programming language in the module?

I actualy just had the same problem, haven't really touched any of the code, but I get that error.

Any ideas on how to fix it?

Well I tried a fix like this:

Orginal line = "if (strContent.IndexOf("[" & objPropertyInfo.Name.ToUpper() & "]") != -1)"

Changed to = "if (strContent.IndexOf("[" + objPropertyInfo.Name.ToUpper() + "]") != -1)"

It complies atleast, if its a good fix, I'm not 100% sure on that one tho

Hopefully someone who's been playing with DNN longer than 1 week can post on this topic.
