The strange thing... i have exactly the same problem in the "Tracking Forum" item of "My Settings". I am never able to add forums i want to track there, the only way i am able to track forums is to check the "

@Erik,  I wonder if you could solve this issue, since I am having the same problem today:

I am using the Forum Module v03.20.09 on a DNN Core v4.8.0, and I have the same problem. None of my users can update their settings for Tracking and Subscription.

The procedure to produce the error is the following:

a) Click on "My Settings"
b) Check every mark under "Tracking/Subscription"
c) Click on "Update"

The page refreshes and shows the same page again, with no changes applied.

I have tested the same behavior under IE7 and Firefox.

Thank you,
Alejandro.

Matthias, thank you for your prompt response. I did not upgrade from v03.20.09 to the most recent version because my forum needs to be localized in Spanish. And so need to be Spanish-spoken the email messages sent by the Forum Module.

I know how to localize the email messages in v03.20.09, using the file "_forumemail.xml" stored inside the "\DesktopModules\Forum\Resources\" subdir... But I still have not found where are the email messages stored for the Forum Module v04.04.03.

If you could help me with this, I will surely upgrade right away. ;-)

Thank you!

Saludos,

Alejandro.

Hi Alejandro,

in Forum 04.04.03 we are using a other design.  There the E-Mail Templates are stored in the Database.  They can easy translated over the E-Mail Template function in the Forum Admin.  You can get more information in the Manual for the Forum 04.04.04 that is availible from Project download page.   Forum 04.04.03 needs at a minimum DNN 4.4.0.

Kind regards

Matthias

Thank you very much, Matthias!

I will look into it this very afternoon. I am also downloading the manual right now.

Again, thanks for being online, as always. :-)

Saludos!,

Alejandro.
