Hi,

I am using the repsoitory to store documents/publications and would like to specify the author(s) of the document. However the repository specifies that the current logged on user is the author. Most times thats not correct, the author of the documen is not the current logged on user. So I would like to be able to change this text.

Can the author text be made edible?

Regards,

H. J. van der Wijk

To make it edible would require a change to the code. I can't find the original post by Steve where he explains his reasoning for making it unedible but I believe it was along the lines of the field is intended to show the last person who updated or changed the file in anyway.

Hi,

The field is now called Author and I would like to use it to store the author of the documents in the repository.

So my suggestion would be to add two fields to the database: LastModifiedBy and LastmodifiedDate

This names are a much better description on what you want it to do
