I run a small site I just launched called Demon Chronicles. The intent of the site was originally to digitally document the restoration of a 1971 Dodge Demon 340. It was going to be modeled off of Sandy’s Garage, but based on the DNN framework.

The site would be not only showcase the work and progress on the car project, but also be a site with the at-home, non-professional, hobbyist in mind. Most of the work being done at home and by the owner of the car, whom himself is just a musclecar hobbyist.

While the site is currently up and running, it has been a slow work in progress, mainly due to limited time on my part. I launched a portal skin this morning to give it the same theme as the car itself. I am still working out some issues with the containers I am designing, so they are using the Venitian containers temporarily.

One of the things I have been thinking about is to have a subscription based service that allows a registered user the ability to subscribe and receive a 1 or 2 page area (or possibly even sub-portal) where they can add/edit text and pics.

Here is my current requirements:

1.)    User has the ability to add/edit text/html areas added automically to the 1-2 pages via a user selected template. Other modules may/may not be available (open to suggestions).

2.)    Need a way to limit the size of each users pages/sub-portals.

3.)    Need module on the main portal that displays current members sites.

I am completely open to any ideas, suggestions or help on this site. I would even consider using the site as an open collaboration of fellow DNN developers to highlight their custom modules, even have an area on the site giving credit to those contributions.

Post your thoughts here or even e-mail.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Here are my thoughts about what you are trying to implement.....

I would purchase the ventrian subscription module: and the Personal Gallery 1.0 Standard Edition  from SnowCovered. Then I would set up the Ventrian Subscription module, so when a person subscribes to your website they are sent to paypal and then re-directed to your website. I would have the link that re-directs back to your website link to the page that you have the personal gallery set up on. (you can download this module from there site to test it out before you purchase it). You would have to add the modules text, and an image / photo gallery module to the initial personal gallery page so the users just need to add their information. Also smart-thinker.com has a personal home page module. I hope this helps.
