I'm trying to consider whether DNN is a good choice for me. Here's a mini outline of what I need. If DNN doesn't have one of these features, I'd appreciate an idea of how difficult, time consuming and expensive it would be to add that feature.

Let's use the following web site as a starting point:
http://www.myinns.com/

So we're looking at a Yahoo like directory where clients can log in and change their information.
The site needs to be searchable on all client fields
Use friendly url's (no query strings)
Allow the admin to approve/disapprove new listings
Assign costs, track accounting data and accept credit cards from clients for payment. This obviously means it will need to work with an online merchant accounting portal of some form.

The icing on the cake is forums, blogs, newsletters, etc. However, the above is the root of the system. So will DNN handle this out of the box?

Okay, let's confuse things slightly. Let's say that you want to not only organize the data by state/region/city, you want to provide a list of properties which are not just in the city you're viewing but also in cities withing 100 miles sorted by distance. It's easy to obtain a zip code database with this data and a SQL stored procedure to pull up the cities. However, how difficult is this to add as a feature to the system?

If someone can simply tell me how simple or difficult in DNN this would be I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks in advance,

Ducki
