Hey

I have a module which displays data based on which user is viewing the module. So user A get to see his data, but he cannot see the data of user B. I need a way to determine who the user is, so I can display for him his data (and not somebody elses data)...

Is there a function in DNN for this?

any suggestions?

ps: I use DNN with Starter Kit in visual studio 2005

As your module will inherit from PortalModuleBase, you can reference its read only properties:

Public ReadOnly Property UserId() As Integer

Public ReadOnly Property UserInfo() As UserInfo

to obtain the current user's UserId and if necessary additional UserInfo such as FirstName, LastName, UserName, DisplayName, and Membership.
