I was finally able to get the source version of DNN 4.3.4 installed on my XP workstation using SQLExpress.  Have the demo site running and making progress trying out the new modules.  However, here is a stumper.  When I go into the SQL Server Management Studio and look at the tables in my DNN4 database, I see NOTHING.  No tables and no system tables.  There are however 284 system Views.

What gives!?  This is the first time I am using SQLExpress with VSS 2005.

please make sure, that you have a look at the appropriate database. DNN uses ~100 tables, a few functions (mostly from ASP.Net membership component) and hundrets of stored procedures - otherwise the portal will not start.

I took the easy way out to resolve my issue and that was to replace SQLExpress with SQL Developers Edition.  SQLExpress is nowehere else in my dev/test or prod environment and therefore not worth the effort to figure out the nuances between that and full blown SQLSVR.

Are you sure you have your SQL Server Management Studio pointing to the proper instance of SQLExpress? It's been a while since I've used SQL Express but I believe DNN sets it's own database up based on the files in the data folder.
