If you mean the "Events List" component, it's in there!!!

The way to implement is to setup 2 module instances...1) with all the events on it....2) setup the 2nd instance, and in the settings, point to the 1st instance (see Sub-Calendars), then set the default view to "List" and check the "Only View" option.

Is this what you're referring to?

Hi Alan,
No, what I am talking about is a mini calendar that could be displayed on a home page or anywhere on the site that a user would like.  All it would have is maybe a background color showing you that there is an entry on that date.  For simplicity if you click on the date then it takes you to that day view and you can see the events happening.  Maybe you could put a mouse over to just show the title of all of the events happening that day.

Thanks for making and managing this project.  It is exciting to see changes are still happening and that the project is not stagnate.

Ahh.  You are referring to the original DNN Event module.

The new event calendar "Month View" can be styled any way you like.  In fact, we have included 3 diff. themes...You can add new themes easily to change the size/look.

I hadn't really considered anyone wanting just a basic small calendar.  One of the problems when you want to show a small calendar is how do you handle displaying multiple events on a Day (Month Cell).  How would you handle this so it would not grow as you add events?  One way might be to color-code each day w/events in them and when you select the day number, display a list of events...then if you want more detail, select each in the list.  How would you handle...specifics?

I would look at just having it display a basic calendar just like the one here --> http://www.riversidebassclub.com/news.php if you mouse over it (in IE) it shows the event that is upcoming. but all of the days that have events are just set to one color no matter what it is.  That is all I am looking for.  When you click on the event it takes you to that event.  I think it would not be that difficult to make an additional control to just do basic things.  I am just not good at calendar HTML formatting.  Maybe in future versions you could offer the list view to work with it in a summary view when you click on a date.

Just a few Ideas.  My biggest want is just a simple calendar I can display on a page and have it take the user to the details on it.

Thanks
Rick

Alan,
Does this make sense on what I am looking for?

I was just wondering.
