I am dead in the water.  I am trying to create a parent portal and everything looks like it is working.  I fill out the form and when I click the "Create Portal" link, all I get is a message that says "Error configuring Child Portal".  I have scowered google looking for an answer as well as the forum and htere is two posts about it and not much help.  I did upgrade from 3.0 to 3.3.4 a few days ago but am not sure if this is related.  My hosting provider also moved my database to a new server and reset the server name in my web.config but everything else is working fine.  The last time I created a portal was a couple of weeks ago and it worked fine.  It was a child.  I also cannot create a child portal.  I get the same error.

It looks like the portal entry is being created in the portal table and the portal does show on the list.  I have to manually remove the portal using a procedure I found on the web.  There are 4-5 tables that I am supposed to remove the portalid entry but the only creation is in the portals table.  portalalias, skins and modules have no entries at all.  I have tried to manually insert into portalalias but that had no effect except to show the portal alias in the portal list.  I need help bad.

HELP!  This sucks!
