Also, I've found another time zone issue. If you're in Eastern Time and logged in and you have an event that starts at 7:30 PM on the calendar it shows up on the following day, but the calendar list shows it on the correct day. Both show the correct starting time.

As a suggestion, if we can't change the timezone it shouldn't be a dropdown that implies that we can. I understand that it's stored internally at GMT+0. My issue still remains when I'm not logged in the times should display at portal timezone, but they don't. They display properly when you click on the event and display the details, but they don't in the List on on the Calendar.

The intent is not to change the Timezone...but to be able to "Input the Time using you're TimeZone" and to have it "Display in your Current TimeZone"....

I'll check the the List on the Calendar...it should agree with the above.   Maybe I missed something.  I'll check the Calendar Month List...Keith, if you can email me a screen shot, it would help more clearly identify the issue.

Thanks,
   Alan

Alan,

I sent example screen shots, you have a chance to take a look at them?

Yes, I did...they were very helpful and I identified the bug.  I'm also gearing up the module as a replacement for the DNN Events module.  I have fixed this issue and other issues with the module.

I do have a question on the TimeZone conversion.  I had not intended on writing a data conversion function.  But, I owe it to loyal users of the modules. Here are a couple of options:

1) write a process that you can run to convert all of your module events to UTC +0.  This would involve you manually running the process (one time) to convert from whatever timezone the data was originally recorded in (for example East Cost or UTC +5).  Once selected, the process will assume this is the TimeZone for ALL of your old events and convert them.

2) allow you to turn on/off the TimeZone functionality...I would rather not do this as this defeats the purpose of DNN localization and will cause other issues with the Calendar Rollup (Master/Sub Calendars).

Other ideas?  What would the user community like to see?  This is what makes development slow for modules...but I feel that a localized module is better for the entire community...and this is the stated direction for DNN.

Thanks,
   Alan Vance

Do you know when it will be available from the events projects and will you be releasing more updates?  The timezone issue seems to be the one biting me right now.  Everything else works great.

Thanks
Rob
