I've installed the Starter kit successfully twice before, but just fired up VS to start a new web site and the "DotNetNuke Web Applicaton Framework" option in Templates is no longer appearing as an option. I have reinstalled the Starter Kit, and although it reported that installation was successful nothing changed. Completely stuck. Please help!

In order to know if you successfully installed the Starter Kit, you must right-click your web folder in the Solution Explorer Window.  Then click "Add new Item" and a popup window will give you more options to choose from.  If you see a module template and skin template (select the VB option) then the Starter Kit was successful.

If you didnt see the above, just simple open the starter.zip inside your project and run it from within the current project you are working on in Solutions Explorer then repeat the above.

Hi,
I have the same problem.
It is not clear what do I have to open to be able to see the module template.
The zip file?
If I open the module_vb.zip file with VS it just popups Windows Explorer with the content of the zip file.
Please advice.
Best regards!

You should have the starter kit placed in the project folder you are working on:

Now go to that folder and run Win.zip and extract it into the project folder:

Now you will see all the files in this project folder along with your DNN files.  There will be a Dotnetnuke_zip, ModuleCSZip, Module_VBZip, Skin.Zip and DotnetNuke_VS Content file.  You will click the DotnetNuke_VS Content file

you will then notice its ready to run:

Click "Next" then "Finish" to run it:

Now simply go back into VS and "right-click" the website folder and select "Add New Item":

(Refer to my next post for the rest.  Im out of space on this reply)
