Hi All,
Total novice with a scope question here. I am "managing" a product with which non-profits and civic organizations can communicate and manage members. The product is not built yet, however, unfortunately, the plan is to use the framework established for this product:
www.d4sports.com as the framework for our software. The goal is a one-stop web solution for brownie troops, and Elk's club's etc. The d4 product is for league admins who obviously have a lot of time to learn what I think is a poorly designed and hard to use content management system.  D4 is built with ASP.NET. I want to convince my boss that we need to scrap most of d4's stuff and develop our own tool.

1) Can anyone out there direct me to examples of software built with DNN that allows users to build their own hosted "sites". Is that possible from a single installation? How scalable?

2) Is there a way to integrate some of the work from the D4 stuff with  DNN based software.

I appreciate any and all advice suggestions etc.

Hi there,

I looked at that d4sports site and it looks like something that DNN would be able to do much better and faster.  It's pretty much what DNN was built to do.  It's not a sports site but you could check out www.wowguilds.com The guy that runs that site allows users to create their own portals and he gets quite a lot of hits a month.  There are also sites listed here on the DNN site where you can see what other pepople have done with the framework.

Cheers,

Paul Davis
